Props:
A mechanised puzzle bowl CNC cut from aluminium driven by linear actuators controlled from a custom control box. The prop functioned in phases with the first step being lifting the bowl until it hit a latch and sat on stilts at which point the main two sections of the bowl would unfurl. Once the inner puzzle was exposed, stones could be placed by thte actor on the indiviudal pads with the actuators being triggered in response. A seperate assembly was then swapped out which had none of the internals which would split open to reveal the helm. The bowl was made from fibeglass and lined with expanding foam, the main frame of the structure was aluminuim but was finished with aged brass plate and some 3D printed accessories.
In addition to the puzzle bowl a large betting table was built from plywood, it was finished with felt and vinyl as well as gold leaf. It featured a lazy susan style spinning ring where chips could be placed.
